In early 2010 SB Training (UK) Limited launched their own ‘Youth Academy’ specifically catering for the ‘NEET’ group of 16-18 year olds.
Through forging successful partnerships with external funding providers a number of different courses are now being run on a regular basis.
All instructors, mentors and course co-ordinating staff have CRB checks at Enhanced Disclosure level and have attended Safeguarding training. SB Training has their own designated Young Persons Protection Officer on site at all times.
Prior to enrolment SB Training make contact to establish commitment levels and availability for the relevant course date. A short questionnaire is completed to gather information concerning any prior learning and experience as well as a medical questionnaire to ensure that their health and safety is kept paramount for the duration of the course.
These courses aim to enable all delegates to become work ready with additional training certificates and licences as well as a number of referees to add to their CV. The SB Training Youth Academy Team are very proud to confirm that their success rate in placing delegates into employment, further education, apprenticeships or voluntary work is currently running at 65%, which is an excellent rate for this type of program.
